Classes & Schedule

All Ages, All Bodies, All Levels

My classes are taught in a way that is inclusive for all bodies, all levels of ability, and spanning between those who are brand new and long time students of yoga.

I consider my classes to be both guided by principles of being trauma-informed and anti-oppressive. The space I try to cultivate is one that centres on human rights, including our fundamental right to have a safe relationship with our own bodies. While yoga can be both an exercise and relaxation practice, it can also be a way to strengthen the mind and connection to our shared humanity.

Hatha Yoga & Benefits

Hatha Yoga centres on the breath, and involves guided body movements (asana’s). Hatha yoga can be supportive of:

  • building strength, cardiovascular health, and postural correction

  • working with difficult emotions and somatic states (anxiety, depression, fight-flight-freeze, intrusive thoughts, PTSD symptoms)

  • developing a compassionate relationship with one’s body

  • working with chronic pain and musculoskeletal imbalances

Schedule

Group classes are centred on hatha practice, but are guided in a way that you may adjust to depending on your individual needs and goals. Due to the smaller size of the class structure (6-8 participants), you can expect to receive adequate support and adjustments, should you want this. All group classes end with a brief sound bath and moment of silent meditation.

Thursdays - 8:00am & 9:30am (all levels hatha)
