Classes & Schedule
All Ages, All Bodies, All Levels
My classes are taught in a way that is inclusive for all bodies, all levels of ability, and spanning between those who are brand new and long time students of yoga.
I consider my classes to be both guided by principles of being trauma-informed and anti-oppressive. The space I try to cultivate is one that centres on human rights, including our fundamental right to have a safe relationship with our own bodies. While yoga can be both an exercise and relaxation practice, it can also be a way to strengthen the mind and connection to our shared humanity.
Yoga & Benefits
Hatha Yoga centres on the breath, and involves guided body movements (asana’s). Hatha yoga can be supportive of:
building strength, cardiovascular health, and postural correction
working with difficult emotions and somatic states (anxiety, depression, fight-flight-freeze, intrusive thoughts, PTSD symptoms)
developing a compassionate relationship with one’s body
working with chronic pain and musculoskeletal imbalances

Classes
Group classes are centred on hatha & yin practice, but are guided in a way that you may adjust to depending on your individual needs and goals. Due to the smaller size of the class structure (6-8 participants), you can expect to receive adequate support and adjustments, should you want this.
All group hatha classes end with a brief sound bath savasana, and a few minutes of silent meditation. All full yin classes are accompanied by a live sound bath, consisting of crystal bowls, metal chimes, and & wooden chimes.
